Former High Sheriff donates to our cause!
Former High Sheriff of Herefordshire, Jo Hilditch, kindly donated to Logistics Aid following the completion of a wing walk at the beginning of March.
The wing walk was in aid of various mental health charities, but so moved by the plight of Ukraine, Jo decided to donate out of her own pocket towards our cause and another charity raising funds for people still living in Ukraine. Jo raised over £30,000 by doing the wing walk (no mean feat for someone that is afraid of heights!) and consequently gave Logistics Aid £2,850.
Jo completed the flight alongside Jane Tuffnell, the former High Sheriff of Glocuester – both women handed over their reigns at the beginning of April.
Jo said: “We both raised a lot of funds for our chosen charities – she for Young Gloucestershire and me for a number of charities mostly mental health related; and for particular projects.
“Bearing in mind that my fear was nothing compared to the real fear for your life as being felt in Ukraine… I decided that as a result of this campaign I would give 10% personally, of whatever was raised, to Ukraine.”
Jo did say she would consider doing the challenge again, this time with a loop the loop!! on the condition she raised double the original sponsorship - all proceeds would go to our cause....
If you would like to see Jo take to the skies again, please message us with details of your pledge.
